Meowtide: how to delete your data
Meowtide is a game by Futari Productions (formerly Puzzle Me Studio) on Google Play. It has no accounts and no login, so there is no account to delete. This page explains how to delete everything the game keeps, and what is kept elsewhere.
Steps
- Delete your game data on the device: uninstall Meowtide, or open Android Settings → Apps → Meowtide → Storage → Clear storage. Your island, cats, photos and settings exist only on your device, so this removes them completely and at once.
- Disconnect the ads data: open Android Settings → Google (or Security & privacy) → Ads, and reset or delete your advertising ID. The ad data Google collected can then no longer be linked to your device.
- Ask us to delete anything else: email hi@futariproductions.com with the subject "Meowtide data deletion". Tell us roughly when you played. We reply within 30 days, delete the data we control, and tell you what we cannot reach.
What is deleted and what is kept
- Game progress (island, cats, photos, settings): stored only on your device; deleted by step 1, immediately.
- Analytics events (Google Analytics for Firebase): kept for at most 2 months, then deleted automatically. On request we delete what can be found for your device sooner.
- Ad data (Google AdMob): processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy; resetting your advertising ID (step 2) unlinks it from your device. We do not hold a copy.
- Purchases (Google Play): your purchase record is kept by Google Play with your Google account, so you can restore the item later; we never see your payment details. Refunds and purchase history are managed in your Google Play account.
- Emails you send us: kept only to answer you, and deleted within 12 months of our last reply.
